Passing an evaluation can create the impression that the difficult part is over. In practice, the transition to a simulated funded account introduces a different objective. During a challenge, the trader works toward a defined target. After qualification, there is no reason to chase the same target at the same speed. The priority becomes preserving eligibility, producing repeatable results and requesting rewards only when the account meets every condition.
Reset the plan after qualification
LeoFins states that qualified traders begin with an 85% profit split, with an automatic move to 90% after three payouts and 95% after six. That progression rewards continuity. A trader who takes oversized risk to maximize the first request may undermine the longer path. Before the first funded trade, calculate position size again, confirm the loss limits and remove any temporary tactics used solely to complete the evaluation.
A sensible funded-account plan can be more conservative than the challenge plan. Reduce the risk per idea, define a weekly loss stop and decide which market conditions justify staying flat. The absence of a profit target means that a quiet week does not need to be “fixed” on Friday afternoon. Protecting decision quality is more important than keeping an arbitrary schedule.
Plan around eligibility, not anticipation
Core and Edge advertise the first payout opportunity after ten days; Starter begins after fourteen. Afterward, payout opportunities are weekly. The calendar is only one part of the calculation. The 40% Best Day condition means a single best day cannot exceed 40% of the total profit submitted for payout. If it does, additional eligible profit may be required. The first three payouts also have published caps of 3%, 5% and 7% of account size, each subject to a $10,000 ceiling, with qualifying unpaid profit carried forward.
These rules favour a simple habit: update a payout worksheet at the end of each trading day. Record total closed profit, the best day, the minimum total needed to satisfy the 40% test and the applicable payout cap. This removes guesswork and discourages last-minute trades opened only to qualify for a withdrawal.
Treat the fee reward as a milestone
The base challenge fee is returned as a reward at payout one for Core and Starter and at payout two for Edge, subject to the current terms. It should be viewed as part of the programme economics, not as a reason to spend money that the trader cannot comfortably lose. Qualification and payment are never certain.
Before acting, verify the latest programme page and legal terms at LeoFins. All evaluation and funded trading takes place on simulated accounts; rewards are performance-based under the applicable agreement. A patient transition does not eliminate market risk, but it aligns the trader with a process designed to last beyond a single payout.
